Season Highlights

The National Hockey League re-organized it’s division for the 2013-14 season, placing Ottawa in the Atlantic division along with Boston, Buffalo, Detroit, Florida, Montreal, Tampa Bay and Toronto.

This was the first season since the 1993-94 season without long-time captain and Senators legend Daniel Alfredsson.

Senators made a blockbuster trading with the Anaheim Ducks, picking up Bobby Ryan in exchanged for Jakob Silverberg, Stefan Noesen and a 2014 1st-round draft pick.

Assistant General Manager Tim Murray left the Ottawa Senators in January to become General Manager of the Buffalo Sabres. Pierre Dorion and Randy Lee became joint assistant general manager to Bryan Murray. Bryan Murray’s contract was extended for two years.

The Senators played the 2014 Heritage Classic game against the Vancouver Canucks. The Senators unveiled a white version of their heritage third jersey for the game.
