Pre-GAME
History has indeed struck once again! Last year, the Ottawa Senators were riding a 5-game losing streak and defeated the Calgary Flames to put an end to their losing ways. Last night, the same thing happened! Ottawa came in with 5 consecutive losses and Calgary came in with 4 consecutive wins. A daunting task indeed for the Senators but they powered through an impressive win to end the streak. Now they pack their backs and head off to California for a three game road trip, hoping to reach .500 status by the end of November.

ON THIS DAY IN SENATORS HISTORY
🥳 Happy Birthday Anton Forsberg 🎂
Anton Forsberg turns 32 today! The Ottawa Senators goaltender made NHL history becoming the first Swedish goaltender to win an NHL game in Sweden when the Senators defeated the Minnesota Wild on November 18th, 2023.
In 2019, the Boston Bruins overcame a 1-0 deficit on the strength of captain (and former Senator) Zdeno Chara’s second game-winning goal of the season in Boston’s 2-1 win over Ottawa at the Canadian Tire Centre. The marker sees Chara become the first defenceman in NHL history, age 42 or older, to record multiple game-winning goals in the same season while also becoming the oldest defenceman in NHL history to record a four-game point streak.
