Last Time: The Senators battled the San Jose Sharks on November 27th winning 4-3 while away. Now they face the Sharks on home ice for the second and final time this season. Can Ottawa sweep the Sharks?
Game Day: The Sharks suffered a 4-3 loss in overtime to the Canadiens while Ottawa took a 4-1 loss to the Jets. The Jets are suffering a 7-game losing streak while Ottawa has a 5-game losing streak. One of those streak ends tonight!

LOCKER ROOM – JERSEY #51 & 52
Two for the price of one again! That’s right, we will cover jersey #51 and #52 today. Jersey #51 was worn by Derek Smith and Artem Anisimov before being worn by Cole Reinhardt for the last several years. Reindhardt has played over 15 games for the club this year in relief of injured players.
Jersey #52 meanwhile, was worn by a few players for single year runs most recently by Roby Jarventie who was traded to Edmonton on July 15th, 2024 in exchange for two prospects in Xavier Bourgault and Jake Chiasson.

ON THIS DAY IN SENS HISTORY
In 2023, Jakob Chychrun was traded from Arizona in exchange for a 1st-round pick in 2023, a 2nd round pick in 2024 (previously acquired from Washington) and 2nd-round pick in 2026
In 2021, Drake Batherson equaled a franchise record by way of scoring in a 6th consecutive game in what was the first multi-goal game of his NHL career. He became the 5th skater in club history to equal the mark and became one of just seven other skaters in league history to reach the mark under the age of 22.
In 2019, Head coach Guy Boucher is relieved of his duties with 18 games remaining in the regular season. Boucher, who guided the team to the Eastern Conference Final in his first season behind the team’s bench in 2016-17, concluded his Senators coaching tenure with a record of 94-108-26 over two-plus campaigns with the club. His 94 victories saw him rank 5th among the franchise’s all-time head coaches upon his dismissal. Associate coach Marc Crawford was named the team’s interim head coach and ultimately led the team to a record of 7-10-1 which included his becoming only the 22nd head coach in NHL history to earn a 550th victory on March 3 at Florida.
