Game Day – Sens vs. Bruins – Jan 23, 2025

Pre-GAME

Time to bring out my old favorite expression – the game in New York was Bowling Shoe Ugly! The Senators struggled in MSG as the Rangers defeated them 5-0 and that’s not counting the two goals called back for being offside. Yep, it was a bad one but can the Sens rally against an old nemesis like Boston. The Sens recently took a victory away from Boston in a nasty game, will revenge be in the Bruins mind?

GAME DAY REPORT

Senators vs. Bruins

Last Time: The Senators battled the Boston Bruins on November 9th, winning the contest 3-2 in overtime. They fought just recently on January 18th winning 6-5 in a shootout and they are poised to face off again tonight in battle. They lead the series 2-0 and will face them for a final encounter on March 13th.

Game Day: The Senators looked vulnerable in a Rangers defeat but can they return to their winning ways tonight? Boston faced defeat to the Devils last night in Jersey, 5-1. Will Boston come in hungry to erase the spoils of defeat?

LOCKER ROOM – JERSEY #36

Is there such a thing as an unlucky number? Jersey #36 was worn by many players but only two players have the distinction of wearing it for MORE than 1 year. Josh Hennessy was the first Senator player to wear jersey #36 for subsequent years, wearing it from 2006 to 2010. Colin White is only the second player to do so, from 2017 to 2022. All other players have only worn the jersey for one season!
