Last Time: The Senators battled the Vancouver Canucks on November 23rd, recording a 4-3 loss at home. Now, it’s time to shift the battle on Vancouver’s home turf and see if Ottawa can even up the series.
Game Day: The Senators defeated the Calgary Flames 3-2 in overtime with Brady Tkachuk being the overtime here again. Meanwhile, Vancouver took a 3-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, marking their second consecutive loss.

Season Highlights
In July 2006, the Senators experienced some key departures in Zdeno Chara (signed with Boston Bruins), Brian Pothier (signed with Capitals) and Dominik Hasek (left for Detroit). Martin Gerber was obtained to fill the void left by Hasek and Ottawa acquired Joe Corvo. They also traded Martin Havlat and Bryan Smolinski to the Chicago Blackhawks for Tom Preissing, Josh Hennessy, Michal Barinka and 2nd round draft pick.
The Ottawa Senators celebrated their 15th year anniversary with a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals, losing to the Anaheim Ducks.

🎂HAPPY BIRTHDAY CODY CECI🥳
Cody Ceci celebrates his 31st birthday today! The Ottawa native was selected in the 1st round – 15th overall by the Senators in the 2012 NHL Draft. He played six seasons with the Senators which included 440 games for 32 goals, recording 86 assists for 118 points.
He was traded to the Toronto Maples Leafs on July 1, 2019 along with Ben Harpur, Aaron Luchuk and 3rd round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft in exchange for Nikita Zaitsev, Connor Brown and Michael Carcone. He spent one year with the Leafs before joining Pittsburgh for a year and then signed a 4-year contract with the Edmonton Oilers. After three seasons he was traded to the San Jose Sharks on August 18, 2024.
In 2022, Artem Zub, signed a 4-year contract extension for $18.4 million, keeping him with the Senators until the 2026-27 season with a $4.6 million cap hit.
