Drafted in 2015 in the 1st round (18th overall), the Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, Quebec native is playing his 9th year in the NHL, all with the Ottawa Senators. Having played 432 games at the conclusion of last year’s season, Thomas leads the Ottawa Senators in games played and assists among active players.

On November 22nd…

🎂Happy Birthday Vladislav Namestnikov!! 🎂
The 32 year old Russian from Zhukovskiy was drafted in 2011 in the 1st round – 27th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning. He played 5 seasons for the Lightning before playing 3 years for the Rangers. He was traded to the Ottawa Senators by the Rangers for Nick Ebert and a 4th round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft. Namestnikov played 54 games for the Senators during the 2019-20 season, scoring 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points. He was traded to Colorado by Ottawa for a 4th round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft in February 2020. Namestnikov enjoyed stops in Detroit, Dallas, Tampa (again) before landing in Winnipeg where he continues to enjoy success with the Jets.

In 1995, the Ottawa Senators name Pierre McGuire as an assistant coach, replacing Alain Vigneault.

In 2017, Gabriel Dumont was claimed off waivers by Ottawa from Tampa Bay. Dumont ended up playing 23 games for the Senators during the 2017-18 season recording 1 goal and 1 assist. He was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens, enjoying 4 seasons with them for a handful of games before signing with Tampa Bay in 2016. Tampa Bay had their revenge and claimed him off waivers on February 21, 2018 from Ottawa. Dumont would play 3 games with the Minnesota Wild before ending his NHL career with 90 games, 4 goals and 5 assists for 9 points.
