Ding Dung, They Score
The hockey pucks we see today are made of 3 inches in diameter and 1 inch height vulcanized rubber. The original pucks however, were made from whatever was available during the winter months. This included frozen cow dung, which was easily malleable into the disc shape required to play an outdoor game on the pond.
Other hockey puck advancements along the evolutionary trail to what we have today consisted of wooden balls and flat pieces of wood.
