Last Time: The Senators battled the Philadelphia Flyers to an overtime loss on November 14th, losing 5-4 before winning the next match up on March 11th, 5-2 in Philly. They meet for the final time this season with the Flyers eliminated from playoffs.
Game Day: Ottawa defeated the Canadians to end the 6-game winning streak while the Philadelphia Flyers faced the New York Islanders to a shutout yesterday, winning on the fifth shooter.

Guy Boucher (2016-2019)

Guy Boucher began his coaching career in the QMJHL before being named Head Coach of the Montreal Canadien’s AHL affiliate Hamilton Bulldogs on June 29, 2009. He had a record of 57-17-11 and won the Louis A.R. Pieri Memorial Award as coach of the year.
In 2010, Boucher was offered a vacant head coaching job of the Columbus Blue Jackets which he turned down to accept the Head Coaching position with the Tampa Bay Lightning. In his rookie year in the NHL, Boucher led the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Eastern Conference Finals. On March 24, 2013, General Manager Steve Yzerman fired Boucher following a 5-3 loss to the Ottawa Senators.
On January 27, 2014, Boucher signed with the Swiss ice hockey club SC Bern guiding the team to the title in the 2014-15 Swiss Cup competition. He was fired on November 18, 2015 following a four-game losing streak.
On May 8, 2016, Boucher signed a three-year contract to become Head Coach of the Ottawa Senators. During the 2016-17 season, the Senators had a record of 44-28-10, finishing 2nd in the Atlantic and losing to the Pittsburgh Penguins in game seven of the Eastern Conference Finals in double overtime. The following year, the Senators had less success finishing with 28-43-11, missing the playoffs. During the 2018-19 season, after 64 games with a record of 22-37-5, Guy Boucher was fired on March 1, 2019 and replaced with Marc Crawford as interim head coach.
On July 20, 2023, the Toronto Maple Leafs announced Boucher as assistant coach for the 2023-24 season and they later announced he would not return with the club on June 15, 2024. On November 27, 2024, Boucher signed a contract as head coach of the Russian team Avangard Omsk of the KHL until the end of the 2025-26 season.
Marc Crawford has a long series of success coaching NHL clubs, including coaching the Quebec Nordiques, Colorado Avalanche – including winning a Stanley Cup with them, Vancouver Canucks, Los Angeles Kings and Dallas Stars.
He coached the Ottawa Senators on an interim basis during the 2018-19 season for 18 games, recording 7 wins, 10 loses and 1 overtime loss. The Ottawa Senators hired D.J. Smith the following season as new coach of the Ottawa Senators.
