Four out of 254 Texas counties, including Dallas, are considered “partially wet,” according to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. That means some areas of a county, say a specific town or precinct, may ban certain types of sales of alcohol in its jurisdiction, while others may allow it. In fact, as recently as 2017, voters in Houston’s trendy Heights neighborhood decided by an overwhelming 60 percent to change a limited alcohol sales’ provision that dates back to 1912. The commission has a 2,459-row Excel spreadsheet detailing all of it county by county, and you might need a drink to calm your nerves after viewing.

It’s game two of the five game road trip before the holidays for the Ottawa Senators. They already faced two teams that had 4 game losing streaks broken against the Senators and now are facing a superior team in the Dallas Stars. Ottawa tends to play well against superior teams so we will see if yesterdays loss motivates their play tonight.

Senators start 5 game road trip with a 4-2 loss to Blues

In the return of Vladimir Tarsenko to St. Louis, the Ottawa Senators struggled to find momentum as the Blues ended a 4 game losing streak by defeating the Sens 4-2.

Quick Sens Highlights:

  • St. Louis scored the first three goals in the game before Dominik Kubalik scored his 6th of the season.
  • Brady Tkachuk tried to change the games momentum by engaging in a fight but the Sens could not muster any additional scoring.
  • Drake Batherson and Jakob Chychrun picked up an assit on Kubalik’s goal.
  • A point shot near the end of the game was redirected by Mathieu Joseph for the Sens second goal. It was reviewed by NHL officials and confirmed as a good goal being assisted by Ridly Greig and Jakob Chychrun.
  • Joonas Korpisalo took the loss making 26 saves with a 4.14 GAA and a .867 SV%.

PLAYER profile – mads sogaard

The Aalborg, Danish native was drafted by Ottawa in 2019 in the 2nd round – 37th overall. Sogaard signed a 3-year entry level contract with the Senators lasting until the end of this season.

He is currently playing in the AHL affiliated Belleville Senators however was called upon last year to help the club, starting in 17 games recording 8 wins and 6 loss.
