Season Highlights

In May 2019, the Senators announced the hiring of D.J. Smith as Head Coach along with Jack Capuano and David Payne as assistant coach.

In October, the Senators announced that Chris Phillips would have his jersey, number 4, retired on Feb 18, 2020.

At the trade deadline, the Senators traded away Dylan DeMelo, Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Vladislav Namestnikov and Tyler Ennis.

The NHL regular season was suspended on March 12, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
